Watch the Chef's Choice Electric Food Slicer 610 slicer in action!

The Chef's Choice 610 opens the doorway to making restaurant quality dishes & sandwiches in the comfort of your own home. Believe it or not, many people don't realize that you can get a meat slicer that you can use at home - it's an exciting and enjoyable purchase to say the very least. But what makes this such a valuable purchase? Why is the 610 one of the best sellers for home cooks? Let's go over a few of the perks!

There's no doubt that you'll end up loving your 610 slicer; many people claim they wish they had purchased one years ago. If you're into saving money, think of this: you would spend on average around three times more buying pre-sliced meat when compared to slicing it yourself. Keeping that in mind, another fact is synergistic alongside the savings: having your own slicer gives you complete control over both the thickness and the quality of the cut you are preparing. The difference between gourmet restaurants and the typical bar & grill is typically one thing: the freshness and quality of the dish's ingredients. Fresh ingredients are far more tasty and delicious, and your guests or customers will undoubtedly wonder the secret to your delicious meals.

The Chef’s Choice M610 has a powerful 100 watt, cool running, high torque motor and a reliable, smooth gear drive operation help you slice with ease and confidence. Other professional features include precision thickness control from deli-thin to 3/4" thick, easy-clean cantilever design, tilted, large capacity food carriage and a button to lock the food carriage when not in use. The blade, food carriage, food pusher, food deflector, and thickness plate all remove easily for cleaning. A serving tray is included!

The Chef's Choice 610 Food Slicer has a very sturdy build - it's composed of both aluminum and stainless steel. Not only can it be a center piece to a kitchen because of its sleek design, but can also be a great conversation starter as well. As a home cook, this is the perfect entry-level model to get you started with slicing your own meat. Don't forget, though - it can also slice veggies, fruits, breads, and more! One review states that the user really enjoyed making homemade chips with his 610. Being a fun, enjoyable, and durable product, the chef's choice 610 will expand your cooking abilities and increase the quality and taste of your meals. It's also a "Universal" gift to give any time of the year - remember to order the M610 non-serrated blade for ultra-thin slices with your new slicer!

We know you'll be excited, because we are too - lining up consumers with products that are highly beneficial and enjoyable to them is what we do best. Don't hesitate on ordering - the popularity of this product means it may move to backorder at any time. Grab it while you can!

Note – if you are a cooking enthusiast or a restaurant owner we highly recommend models 645 and above – think of the 610 as a personal use slicer, while the 645 and above are designed for commercial use in terms of capacity and durability.

Ordered and Never received!
By Ivey03 from Oklahoma on 2012-02-02

I ordered this slicer on Jan 9, 2012, the company charged my card, and as of Feb. 2, 2012, I still don't have a slicer! Cannot get a live person to answer the phone and get no respone to my emails!

Wonderful!
By Jensen from Las Vegas on 2011-06-24

While I may not be a professional cook (far from it, actually) this item has been a wonderful addition to my array of cooking devices. This electric food slicer is able to slice just about anything into just about any size. Also, if one ever needs to, say, slice a zucchini extremely thin, on a relatively frequent basis, then this is the way to go. Using the 610 Premium Electric Food Slicer is a snap. All you do is assemble, place the food on the tray, and slide it over the spinning blade. Also, clean-up is just as easy. You disassemble, wash lightly but thoroughly, dry, then reassemble. Also, unless you do something stupid, it is near impossible to cut yourself using this device. If you aren't going to use it often, then I would recommend not buying an electric slicer, but just cutting the food with a knife instead. However, if you are going to use it on a regular basis, then there is no slicer I would recommend more from a financial and quality standpoint.

Awesome and Surprising Slicer!
By MoJo from Kansas on 2011-06-24

First, you're definitely going to want the non-serrated blade for this slicer. It comes with the serrated blade, and you can easily find the non-serrated for under $30. I got this one, and it's great: Chef’s Choice Non-Serrated Blade for Model 610 Food Slicer Serrated is great for breads and vegetables, and the non-serrated is perfect for ultra-thin sliced meats and cheese.

Great Slicer for the Money!
By Steve from Arizona on 2011-06-24

As a deli worker myself, I have always wanted one that could slice whatever I want, without problems. So far I have been able to thinly slice deli meats, cheeses, vegetables (no tear onions and perfect tomato slices), and raw beef for making the perfect beef jerky. This deli slicer simply is the best slicer for the money!

Great Deli Slicer!
By Deli Guy from New Jersey on 2011-06-24

When I was a young man, I helped pay my college tuition by working in a deli. The one thing I loved was working with the meat slicer. Anyone who’s ever used one of these machines knows how easy it is to slice meats, cheeses and even vegetables from paper thin to as thick as you'd like. Well this machine is definitely the home version. It's easy to slice just about anything. It also disassembles easily for cleanup. Once you set the thickness, every slice comes out perfect. I had an Oster slicer for the last twenty years and this machine outperforms it in every respect. Please note; when tightening the blade the pop out tab can come off if you tighten it too much. This is no problem as it will pop right back on. I assume it was made this way to prevent stripping the screw by over tightening.

Very Pleased!
By Dave from MD on 2011-06-24

I purchased this slicer after my old one (17 years old and $50 new) died. I'm not sure if this is a really nice slicer or my old one was just a piece of junk. I opened it up and put it to work today with 10 pounds of semi-frozen venison. I set it to slice thin for jerky and let it go. Even though the inside of the roasts were still frozen, the slicer worked great. The uniformity of the thickness of the slices was very good. My old slicer couldn't keep a uniform thickness at all. The motor never got hot. Clean-up was very nice. I had it taken apart and cleaned in 6 minutes. I make a lot of jerky throughout the year and am looking forward to using this slicer.

Educated Opinion
By Slicer Guy from Alameda, CA on 2011-06-24

I was in the restaurant equipment business for over 35 years and sold hundreds of commercial slicers such as Hobart, Globe etc. This is not a commercial machine but it thinks it is. It does a superb job of slicing from paper thin to a thick slice of rye. I don't use it as often as I should, but it is relatively easy to clean and a great addition to any kitchen.

A no-brainer!
By didcrywolf from Montreal, CANADA on 2011-05-02

This machine is so easy to use and clean, it's a wonder why so many people consider this a luxury. I bought wholesale a 10 pound Italian Prosciutto and 12 lbs brisket and easily saved $50 vs. store bought pre-sliced half as good stuff... Repeat twice and the unit is paid for... No brainer! It is super easy to clean and to remove the blade. It comes with a spare fuse which implies that the machine should be used sparingly but it does a great job. The sound is a bit bizarre as it made me think of a floor polisher. The blades turns only at one speed which is slow. The feeder arm is quite unstable when you try to put through a salami but is great for hams and larger meat pieces. The only thing I worry about and looks shoddy are the plastics gears that go from motor to blade. That looks like the weak point of the contraption. Good slicing to you!

Great Product
By impressed from Frankfort, KY on 2011-02-11

If you have been thinking about getting a slicer (like I have for about 8 years) go ahead and get one and you won't be disappointed with the Chef's Choice line. For my use the 610 is perfect. I like left over roasts and I like the meat cut thin...this one did the job. I may give potato chips a try in the future.

Perfect
By Carmen Ceri Rosser from Jamestown, Rhode Island on 2010-11-14

I had no idea the full utility of a food slicer in a household kitchen but since getting my EdgeCraft 610, I am finding new ways everyday to use one. Cheese, Bread, Meat, Zucchini; you name it this slicer works on everything and it is so easy to clean that I don't dread using it like some other appliances that make it such a chore to clean you just decide not to use it. It is extremely durable, easy to handle, easy to clean. It has built in safety features and is also a wonderful size, big enough to do roasts but yet small enough to store in any cupboard. The size of cut is adjustable so I can make meat so thin that it is even perfect for Korean Bulgogi. I am rarely completely impressed with a product but I can say that this one made my short list of products that I would recommend to everyone with no reservations.

Electric food slicer
By Mikey from US on 2010-09-28

I am extremely pleased with the performance of the slicer. Clean-up was easy since most of the parts came off the base. The ease in using the product was great; it sliced the meat paper thin without any problems. A definite "would buy again".

Time saver & Dollar saver
By Nick "Electronic Tech Geek" from Grd Jct. Colorado on 2010-09-27

I read reviews on all the slicers and decided on this one. Heavy enough to not move around and NICE evenly thin slices. Go to the store, buy bulk and save the individual pkg pricing. Works great for me. Just REALLY watch your fingers during cleaning. The blade is very sharp. (Not that I can tell ya from experience :-). Very easy to clean as well.. For the price, I don't think you'll be at all unhappy.

I love this slicer
By Matt L. from Hopkinsville, KY on 2010-09-19

This electric slicer has done a great job on smoked meats like brisket, pork shoulder / loin & turkey breast, as well as top & bottom round roast beef. Slice thickness is infinitely adjustable from paper-thin to 3/4", but very cold meat is a whole lot easier to work with than freshly cooked & still hot. Rotation helps maintain even slicing. Cleanup is simple. The included tray is a bit of an appendix, as it doesn't catch a lot of the sliced product if you're doing a whole roast or such; keep a platter handy. Overall a fine value for the price.

I'd buy this one again
By A. Peche from Stetsonville, Wisc. USA on 2010-08-26

This product works real well. The slicing gets a little crooked after a few slices but if you rotate what you are cutting every few slices it stays pretty even. The thing comes apart real easy to be cleaned and reassembly is also easy. Love the fact that it is made of mostly aluminum and not so much plastic. Motor is powerful enough to cut cheese without bogging down the motor or stopping it. This slicer was a very good value for the good quality of construction of the machine.

My slicer addiction
By Happy Camper from Virginia on 2010-08-25

Ya know I read all the reviews on this Machine before I bought it. Wanted one, thought about it, pranced around about it, then. bingo, I bought it. So, having babbled all that, heres the catch. I read the pros and cons, so when it arrived I put it through the test. Boy did I test it, and it tested my bank account. I sliced Beef, Pork, Bread, Cheese, Onions, cleaned it and put it away. Heres the adicitive part. The next day I sliced more, froze it, now have plenty of Beef all sliced and ready to thaw. Tommorrow I will try Frozen Halibut, bout 1/2 " thick, then cut it again with a Sharp Knife into cubes, bread it and gain weight I spose. Oh ya, because of all this food I seem to like to SLice, I gained 5 lbs since I bought it, so buyer beware, this machine will add weight, send ya shopping more, and, in closing, you will have a blast with it. Easy to clean, stores in a small area, and is very patient, it will sit there till you pick er up and use er again. Thanks, now go ahead and buy one, you wont be disappointed. I'm addicted

Slicer Review
By Cooker from on 2010-07-17

I could not believe the ease in cutting. I used it to prepare 20 pounds of onions and 5 pounds of tomatoes and I was done very quickly. It is easy to clean. I just wish the blade would be easier to remove. The people at the US factory for Edgecraft are extremely accommodating and helpful.
